Decide the credit limit for a new customer
“Can I grant Y 20,000 € at 60 days?” A new customer asks you for payment terms: before you agree, you want to know how much to extend, and on what terms. Give Claude its SIREN: Sirenic returns an indicative credit limit in euros, payment terms and the company's risk class, from a published, versioned formula on its default-risk score and its size. It is an indication drawn from public data, not a credit decision; when the data cannot support a figure, the response says why, with no amount.

What the response says
Claude calls Sirenic's get_french_company_credit_limit tool, on the connector (https://api.sirenic.eu/mcp/connecteur) or on the public MCP server (https://api.sirenic.eu/mcp), which serves the /v1/entreprise/{siren}/encours route. The response gives:
- a
verdict, from a closed list:indication_servie,comptant_conseilleornon_evaluable; - the
classeof the default-risk score of/v1/score/defaillance/{siren}for the same company at the same moment, and itsconditions(comptant,30_joursor45_jours), always served withencours_indicatif, the amount in euros: never the amount alone; - for a
non_evaluable,cause_non_evaluable, the first that applies in this order:entreprise_cessee,procedure_en_cours,defaut_avere,societe_trop_jeune,comptes_non_publies,comptes_trop_anciensandclasse_indeterminee; neither amount nor terms; - on a quantified verdict, information
motifs:comptes_de_plus_de_24_mois,capitaux_propres_negatifs,autonomie_financiere_faible,confiance_score_faibleanddecisions_tribunal_commerce_recentes; - with
montantanddelai_jours, together,comparaison_demande:dans_l_indication,montant_au_dela,delai_au_delaormontant_et_delai_au_dela; entrees, what the formula read (class, score, confidence, reference fiscal year and its age, revenue, equity ratio, headcount bracket, BODACC signals, commercial-court decisions),formule, its name, version, table, terms, gate order and thresholds, andperimetre, which isentite_seule: enough to redo the computation.
The formula and its table
Version encours-b-v1 starts from the score's class. In sain, the amount follows the headcount bracket: €3,000 (sans_salarie_ou_non_diffuse), €10,000 (de_1_a_9), €30,000 (de_10_a_49), €100,000 (de_50_a_249), €300,000 (de_250_et_plus), at 45 days. In vigilance, a single amount, €1,500, at 30 days. In risque_eleve and risque_tres_eleve, comptant_conseille: encours_indicatif is zero, cash. The table's amounts are served as they are.
Before the table, the gates, in order: a ceased company, one in proceedings or in proven default is not assessed; with no published accounts, it is too young if it was created less than 24 months ago, otherwise its accounts are not published; a latest fiscal year more than 36 months old, or an undetermined class, also close the indication. The motifs flag accounts more than 24 months old, negative equity, an equity ratio under 20%, a low score confidence and a commercial-court decision less than 12 months old.
Why a single amount in vigilance
Measured on 2026-10-18 on a copy of the database, 815 companies ruled into insolvency proceedings in 2025 that the formula serves, rated on their accounts from before the ruling, against 8,000 active companies with no proceedings: the share of failed companies among the lines of each column is a rate observed on this sample, not a probability.
In the sain class, that share goes down as size goes up: 5.5% (sans_salarie_ou_non_diffuse), 5.3% (de_1_a_9), 3.2% (de_10_a_49), 1.8% (de_50_a_249), and 0 out of 36 lines in the de_250_et_plus column. The table by size is kept there.
In the vigilance class, it does not go down: 6.0% (sans_salarie_ou_non_diffuse), 14.1% (de_1_a_9), 14.6% (de_10_a_49); as a ranking, size does worse than chance there (area under the curve of 0.41). Small employers in vigilance fail more than the others: granting them more would serve a table the measurement contradicts. Version encours-b-v1 therefore serves a single amount in vigilance, €1,500, whatever the size.
What the response is not
- An indication drawn from public data by a published formula, not a credit decision: the decision stays yours, with what you know of the customer.
- It covers this legal entity only: group exposure is not read, two companies of the same group each get their own indication.
- The response serves no officer and no person: a sole proprietor or a company under restricted diffusion is refused, never billed.
- Published accounts arrive one to two years late: the reference fiscal year's age is served, and a motif flags it when it passes the first threshold.
What an arbitrary file gives
Measured on 2026-10-03 on a copy of the database, without reading the BODACC: on active legal entities picked at random, 8.7% get a quantified verdict, most of the others for lack of published accounts; among those that file their accounts, 64.3% get one, and 35.7% are non_evaluable because their latest fiscal year is more than 36 months old. A file of business customers that file their accounts gets figures; a file of very small entities stays largely non-assessable, and each response gives its cause.
An example
Rendered on 2026-10-20 by the route on the service's test data, with no purchase and no real company: a sain company in the de_1_a_9 column, and the request of the sentence, €20,000 at 60 days. The response says indication_servie, €10,000 on 45_jours, and comparaison_demande is montant_et_delai_au_dela: the request goes beyond the indication in amount and in term. The call and the extract of the response are on the route's reference page.
Limits
montant, a whole number of euros from 1, anddelai_jours, from 0 to 365 days, are optional, both or neither; a single, malformed or out-of-bounds parameter is refused (parametre_invalide, with the field), never billed.- The BODACC is read once per response, as for the score: if it does not answer, the response is refused, never billed.
Price
$0.12 per call. A non_evaluable response is a billed response, with its cause. This route is not part of an account's 150 free calls a month: it is paid with prepaid credits (card top-up is not open yet), or over x402 for the same amount in USDC or EURC. A refusal (wrong parameter, sole proprietor or restricted diffusion, unknown SIREN, BODACC not answering) is never billed.
How you pay
Every route is paid per call, in USDC or EURC on the Base network, over the x402 protocol: no account to create, no API key, no subscription. The first call returns a 402 quote your client settles, then replays the call. A failed call is never billed.
Open today: 150 free calls a month with an account, on 109 of 126 routes (the price list says which), and pay-per-call over x402 (USDC or EURC), with no account except registry filings. Prepaid credits: card top-up is not open yet.
Paid responses are Ed25519-signed: you can later prove what was served to you, and when. The whole catalogue is free to read in the OpenAPI document and in llms.txt.

Routes used and pricing
| Route | Price | Sample | What it returns |
|---|---|---|---|
/v1/entreprise/{siren}/encours | $0.12 | free sample | Credit limit for a new French customer: Can I grant Y 20,000 € at 60 days? An indicative amount in euros and terms (comptant, 30_jours, 45_jours) from a published, versioned formula on the class of GET /v1/score/defaillance/{siren} and the workforce bracket, always with the class. Optional montant and delai_jours compare your request. non_evaluable carries its cause, never an amount. Not a credit decision; this legal entity only, group not read. |
/v1/score/defaillance/{siren} | $0.10 | free sample | Credit risk scoring for a French company: a default-risk score (0-100) at ~12 months from a transparent scorecard: filed financial ratios (structure, profitability, liquidity, net cash, debt service, trend), company age, and a hard BODACC override (open insolvency/liquidation, or closure for insufficiency of assets). Returns the score, a qualitative band, every component with its threshold, and a confidence level. Decision-support indicator, NOT a solvency opinion or credit rating. |
The default-risk score is a decision-support indicator. It is neither a solvency opinion nor a credit rating in the regulatory sense, and it guarantees no payment. Statistical indicator about the company, not a decision or an assessment about a person.
Frequently asked questions
The sentence asks for 60 days: why does the response always say it goes beyond?
Because the terms served run from cash to 45 days: a 60 days term always goes beyond them, and comparaison_demande says so (delai_au_dela or montant_et_delai_au_dela). That is the answer to the question, not a fault: granting longer means deciding beyond the indication.
What do I do with a non-assessable response?
Read its cause. non_evaluable says why the formula gives no figure (company ceased, in proceedings or in proven default, company too young, missing or too old accounts, undetermined class); the score's class and the inputs are still served. With no published accounts, ask the customer for its latest accounts, or start on cash terms.
Two customers of the same group: one single exposure?
Not in version encours-b-v1: the group is not read, each company gets its indication for itself alone. It is up to you to add up what you extend to companies of the same group.
