Accountants: get your clients' customer bases ready for French e-invoicing
On 1 September 2027, French SMEs and micro-businesses will issue their invoices electronically, and the customer's SIREN becomes a mandatory mention on the invoice. The question reaches the accounting firm: is this client's customer base ready? Sirenic answers it from public registers. Submit the base, every line comes back at its rank with what the registers say, their source and their date; an ambiguous line comes back to confirm, and nothing is chosen for you.

What Sirenic reads for each customer
For each line of the file, Sirenic reads:
- identity in the Sirene register: the SIREN, the head-office SIRET and the status, active or ceased, with the cessation date when it is published;
- VAT: the number computed from the SIREN and its VIES status at the time of the call;
- insolvency proceedings published in the BODACC, newest first;
- on request, the default-risk score and its scorecard, outside the free quota;
- for every answer, the source and the date of each piece of data.
A name is resolved only when a single company bears it at that postcode. Otherwise the line comes back to confirm, with its candidates, or not found: never a silent choice. The line-by-line reading is detailed on the page "Get your customer base ready for e-invoicing".
What Sirenic does not do
- Sirenic is not an accredited e-invoicing platform: it registers nothing in the e-invoicing directory and sends no invoice. It prepares the base.
- Registers are read as published: what a register has not published yet is not there.
- A VIES that does not answer gives
indisponible, neverinvalide. In French business hours, VIES serves one verdict every 4 to 5 seconds: in a batch, part of the numbers comes backnon_verifie, to be checked one by one. - In the BODACC, no notice does not prove no proceedings when the reading is incomplete: the answer says so.
- A sole trader is never served by name or address, and Sirenic never chooses between two namesakes.
Three steps
- Submit the base. Download the template (CSV or spreadsheet) and paste the client's customer export: one line per customer, the SIREN when you have it, otherwise the name and head-office postcode. Create your free key, with an e-mail address and no card. Then have the file read: paste it in Claude with the Sirenic connector, or call the API with your key, from n8n or Make.
- Read the results. Every line comes back at its rank: resolution, SIREN, status, VAT number and its status, insolvency proceedings, reading date. The possible values of each column are in the template's "Lisez-moi" sheet (the template is in French).
- Monitor. Read what changed at a customer since a date, in the BODACC: one call per customer, within the free quota. Daily monitoring of a list, with a signed webhook or an e-mail digest, is paid per customer and per duration.
What is free
A Sirenic account, opened with an e-mail address and no card, gets 150 free calls a month on 106 of 122 routes (the price list says which). The identity batch is included up to 50 lines per call: 50 customers read in one call, no credit debited. Checking a VAT number, a customer's insolvency notices and its changes since a date are included too, one call each.
Outside the quota: an identity batch above 50 lines, the default-risk score, batch KYB and daily monitoring. They are paid with prepaid credits, whose card top-up is not open yet, or per call over x402 (USDC or EURC). A refused or failed call is never billed.
The file template
The "base clients prête" template has three columns for you (siren, denomination, code_postal) and eight that Sirenic fills (resolution, siren_sirenic, etat, tva, tva_vies, procedure, score, date_lecture). It holds no customer data: its example lines are public companies, an invented name and a SIREN with a wrong check digit.
Links: base-clients-prete.csv and base-clients-prete.xlsx.
In Excel, open the CSV through Data, then From Text, and set the siren and code_postal columns to text: otherwise a SIREN or postcode starting with 0 loses its zero. The spreadsheet already has these columns as text.
How you pay
Every route is paid per call, in USDC or EURC on the Base network, over the x402 protocol: no account to create, no API key, no subscription. The first call returns a 402 quote your client settles, then replays the call. A failed call is never billed.
Open today: 150 free calls a month with an account, on 106 of 122 routes (the price list says which), and pay-per-call over x402 (USDC or EURC), with no account except registry filings. Prepaid credits: card top-up is not open yet.
Paid responses are Ed25519-signed: you can later prove what was served to you, and when. The whole catalogue is free to read in the OpenAPI document and in llms.txt.

Routes used and pricing
| Route | Price | Sample | What it returns |
|---|---|---|---|
/v1/identite/lot | $0.003 · $0.01 (with depuis) / entity | free sample | Batch identity for French customer/CRM lists: 2 to 300 lines (SIREN, SIRET, FR VAT number or name|postcode), in file order. Per line: resolution (resolu, a_confirmer with up to 5 ranked candidates, introuvable, siren_invalide, siren_inconnu, non_diffusible), SIREN, HQ SIRET, status, cessation date, address, VAT checked live on VIES (indisponible or budget_vies_epuise, never a false invalide), duplicates. $0.003 per line, up to $0.90; with depuis (changes since a date) $0.01, up to $3.00. |
/v1/tva/verifier/{numero} | $0.003 | free sample | EU VAT validation against the official VIES service: validate any intra-community VAT number (all member states) for compliance and due diligence, the tax half of verify supplier before payment and a required check under the e-invoicing mandate France September 2026. Returns valid/invalid with the VIES consultation identifier as proof. Name and address only for a holder that its number's format or its country's register proves a legal person; otherwise left out, counted in ecartes. |
/v1/entreprise/{siren}/alertes | $0.01 | free sample | Legal alerts for a French company from BODACC, the official French gazette of legal notices: insolvency proceedings (procedures collectives) and related court filings, deregistrations and business sales, grouped and most recent first. Check whether a French company is subject to collective proceedings before you contract — a due diligence, KYB and compliance signal for supplier onboarding and risk monitoring, drawn from official registry data. |
/v1/entreprise/{siren}/changements | $0.01 | free sample | Company changes monitoring for a French company: the new official BODACC gazette announcements published SINCE a given date (?depuis=YYYY-MM-DD) — the poll endpoint for watchlist and portfolio surveillance. Returns the new announcements (insolvency, deregistration, sales, filings, changes) in reverse-chronological order. Note: detects new BODACC publications, not field-level edits of the Sirene/RNE profile (the monthly stock keeps no history). |
/v1/score/defaillance/lot | $0.07 / entity | free sample | Batch credit risk scoring of 2 to 100 French companies (comma-separated sirens): each line has the score, class and model version of GET /v1/score/defaillance/{siren} and a closed-list basket (expose, a_surveiller, sain, non_evaluable with its cause, cessee). Rank my customers by risk and monitor the 30 most exposed: chainage.surveillance lists the whole ranked expose basket (100 at most) with its 30-day quote, targets x unit price; keep the first 30. $0.07 per SIREN, unknown SIREN included. |
/v1/kyb/batch | $0.105 / entity | free sample | Batch KYB and bulk company lookup for 2 to 100 French companies in one call (comma-separated sirens): full KYB files with commercial-court decisions (Judilibre) and per-block provenance (official register, as-of date), for due diligence and compliance; or vue=synthese, one line per SIREN for a supplier list. Billed $0.105 per company (30% off the $0.15 unit price), quoted from the SIREN count. A SIREN with no diffusible company is returned as trouve=false and billed as one lookup. |
/v1/surveillance/creer | $0.05 (30 days) · $0.135 (90 days) · $0.50 (365 days) / entity | free sample | Monitoring for France: a 30, 90 or 365-day watchlist (?duree=) for KYB & compliance alerts, checked DAILY against official sources; Ed25519-signed webhook and/or e-mail digest, always pollable. Companies (SIREN): BODACC, status, officers, sanctions/AMF blacklist, PSAN/SGP, Seveso, commercial-court decisions, FR/EU procurement awards. Directors (dirigeant:Name): new/ended offices. Associations (RNA W…): JOAFE notices. Per target (1-100) x duration: $0.05 / $0.135 / $0.50. No account, no refund. |
The default-risk score is a decision-support indicator. It is neither a solvency opinion nor a credit rating in the regulatory sense, and it guarantees no payment.
Frequently asked questions
How many customers does the free quota cover?
A 50-line batch counts as one call; reading the insolvency notices then counts one call per customer, as does each VAT number to check again. A 50-customer base read in full therefore fits in the month's 150 calls.
The base includes sole traders: does it work?
By SIREN, yes: the line comes back with its status, the head-office SIRET and the VAT number, without name or address. By name, no: a person's name is never resolved.
