# Sirenic or Societe.com

The structural difference is not the data scope — it overlaps substantially — but how you get in. On their side: an account, a sales contact, a quotation, a key, declared IP addresses. On ours: a call, a 402 quote, a settlement. Neither is better in the abstract; they suit different situations, and you need to know which is yours.

## What Societe.com does better than us

Let us start there, because it is what decides half the cases — and because a comparison where the competitor never wins anything does not deserve to be read.

- They expose a **director network map** and **contact details**, which Sirenic does not sell.
- A negotiated contract with guaranteed throughput and a named account manager beats pay-per-call when a company is buying for several years.
- Their brand recognition means their records are already indexed and familiar to non-technical teams.

## When to choose Societe.com, honestly

- You are buying for several years with **predictable volume**: a negotiated contract with guaranteed throughput and a named account manager is more comfortable than pay-per-call.
- You need a **director network map** or **contact details**: we sell neither.
- Your non-technical teams already know their records, and internal adoption matters as much as the technology.
- Your service runs behind a **fixed IP** and the IP restriction costs you nothing — it is even an extra safeguard.

## Societe.com: what we found

Surveyed on 2026-08-19, source: [https://api.societe.com/pro/](https://api.societe.com/pro/). Every line is verifiable by you, at the same address.

- API **pricing is not public**: the documentation refers you to `api@societe.com` for commercial terms.
- Access requires an account, then a **sales contact**, then a key passed as a `token=` parameter or an `X-Authorization: socapi {token}` header.
- Stated standard rate: **60 requests per minute**, with a “Highrate” option.
- Access is **restricted to declared IP addresses** — worth noting for an agent running behind a rotating IP.
- The catalogue we surveyed covers France only: identity, directors, beneficial owners, financial statements, establishments, insolvency proceedings, events, scoring, contacts, trademarks, official documents, search and autocomplete.

## What Sirenic does differently

- **Pay per call, no account, no key.** A `402` call, a settlement in USDC or EURC, the response. No sign-up, no contract, no IP address to declare, no expiring credits. 79 routes are reachable that way.
- **An upstream outage closes the route.** We answer `503` and cancel the payment rather than serve a degraded response. A registry snapshot that is too old also closes the route that reads it, instead of selling dead data.
- **Ed25519-signed responses.** You can prove months later what was served to you, and when.
- **Per-block provenance.** Each block of a file declares its official registry and as-of date, rather than a blanket “official sources” claim.
- **Pricing is public, route by route**, and the quote is signed before settlement. You do not have to ask what it costs.
- **No IP address to declare**: an agent running in an ephemeral container or behind a rotating IP calls with no prior setup.
- **Thirteen European registers** in a unified schema, where the catalogue we surveyed covers France only.
- **Dedicated invoicing checks**: live VIES validation, IBAN check with bank identification, cross-checking the identifiers on an incoming invoice.
- **Agent-ready surface**: MCP server, agent card, `llms.txt`, and a catalogue readable without authentication.

## The foundation, in measured figures

Measured in our database on 2026-08-19: 29,922,486 company numbers and 43,896,818 establishments, 6,542,232 financial years across 1,586,046 companies, 3,402,583 detailed tax-form line items, 9,196,396 registry filings, 765,960 public contracts of which 173,633 expire within 18 months, 130,165 names across 6 official sanctions lists, 47,731 authorisations from 9 authorities, 138,020 regulated industrial sites and 2,934 sectors with statistics.

> ⚠️ These are a **dated snapshot from 2026-08-19**, not a live counter. We republish them at each measurement rather than round them up.

## How this comparison is built

Every fact carries its **survey date** and its **source address**, so that you can contradict it. Nothing is extrapolated: what we could not survey is marked as not surveyed rather than guessed. And every page names what the compared service does better than us — a comparison without that section is not a comparison.

If you spot an error or a fact that has become false, write to [contact@sirenic.eu](mailto:contact@sirenic.eu?subject=Comparison%20correction): we will correct the page and its survey date.

## How you pay

Every route is paid **per call**, in USDC or EURC on the Base network, over the x402 protocol: no account to create, no API key, no subscription. The first call returns a `402` quote your client settles, then replays the call. A failed call is never billed.

Would you rather have a euro invoice and prepaid credits? That is **in preparation**, and we will not announce a date until it is open. Write to [contact@sirenic.eu](mailto:contact@sirenic.eu?subject=Euro%20credit%20packs) and we will let you know when it opens.

Paid responses are **Ed25519-signed**: you can later prove what was served to you, and when. The whole catalogue is free to read in the [OpenAPI document](https://api.sirenic.eu/openapi.json) and in [llms.txt](https://api.sirenic.eu/llms.txt).

**One call, end to end**

## Routes used and pricing

| Route | Price | What it returns |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `/v1/kyb/{siren}` | $0.15 | Company lookup KYB — Know Your Business verification of a French company in one call: official company data for due diligence, compliance and customer onboarding: identity, officers, BODACC legal alerts (insolvency, deregistration), filed financials, sanctions screening of the company and each officer against the 6 official lists, computed VAT number and a completeness score. Per-block provenance: every block states its official register and as-of date. |
| `/v1/facturation/dossier` | $0.03 | Invoice verification and supplier verification — verify supplier before payment in France, the invoicing pack of the e-invoicing mandate France September 2026 (all VAT-liable companies must receive): legal identity, obligation dates, intra-EU VAT number checked LIVE against VIES, IBAN form + key check, bank identified, deterministic pret_a_facturer verdict, closed-list reasons. Not a payee verification: no holder name, no account existence check. A VIES outage never yields a false invalid. |
| `/v1/eu/recherche` | $0.003 | European company search across official registers: company lookup by name, returning European company data in one unified schema. Norway, Estonia, Latvia and Spain (BORME base, hoja key) are served from local copies; Czechia, Slovakia, Finland, Poland and Switzerland are queried live; Denmark and UK when enabled; plus worldwide GLEIF (LEI) coverage of financial entities and large groups. Top 10 matches with country, national ID, status and a score_confiance (0-1 match confidence). |
| `/v1/prospection` | $0.02 | French B2B prospecting and lead generation over the full official French company registry (29.8M companies): build targeted company lists with multi-criteria filters — NAF/APE activity code, departement or postal-code prefix, legal form, workforce bracket, company age, active RGE environmental certification, gender-equality index. Returns 100 active companies per page; each page is one payment. Combine filters to narrow a market segment into fresh, registry-grade company lists for France. |

> ⚠️ The IBAN check is not a payee verification: neither the account holder's name nor the account's existence is checked (verification_titulaire: non_disponible).

> ⚠️ Sirenic is not an accredited French e-invoicing platform (PDP), never accesses the central directory, and neither issues, transmits nor routes any invoice.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why do you not compare prices?

Because theirs are not public: their documentation refers you to a sales address for terms. We cannot compare a public price with a quotation we do not have, and inventing a range would be misleading.

### Is 60 requests per minute a low limit?

It depends entirely on your usage: comfortable for on-the-fly enrichment, constraining for bulk processing. They offer a higher-rate option; we did not survey its terms.
