# Profile of a Cypriot company

The Cypriot Registrar of Companies publishes every month, under an open licence, its 500,000 companies registered and struck off since 1923. This profile serves their identity by HE or AE number, with the dated register status — registered, voluntary or court liquidation, receivership, dissolution, striking off, reminder letter —, the registered office and the number of published mandates.

## What the route returns

Catalogue description, exactly as agents read it:

**Official Cypriot company registry lookup (Registrar of Companies, DRCOR — monthly open-data snapshot on data.gov.cy, CC BY 4.0). Query: /v1/eu/entreprise/CY/HE165 (number with its HE or AE prefix; business names, partnerships and BN are not legal persons and are not served). Current name, type and sub-type, one of 12 dated register statuses (registered, struck off, liquidation, receivership…), registration date, registered office, plus registre_cy (status family, mandates count).**

## Expected identifier

Registration number with its prefix: **HE** (company) or **AE** (overseas company), e.g. HE165.

> ⚠️ A wrongly formatted identifier in the **path** returns `400` and is **not billed** — but it costs you a round trip. It is the leading cause of failed calls on the foreign routes. A **search** parameter, by contrast, is cleaned up: unsupported characters are stripped and the usable query is served.

## Price and billing

Price: **$0.01**. The authoritative amount is the one in the `402` quote returned by the route itself — not this text, which derives from the same grid but is still just a page.

An error response **cancels the payment**: a `400`, `404` or `503` is never billed. An upstream outage closes the route with a `503` rather than serving a degraded response.

## What this route does not do

Legal persons only: business names, partnerships and BN are refused without charge. The source publishes the **current name** only, no capital, activity or VAT; monthly snapshot, route closed beyond 45 days without a publication.

## How you pay
