# Profile of a Belgian company

Belgium is the only country where we also serve establishments and the national activity classification. 1,958,234 companies are in the database. The vintage is monthly, re-ingested at the start of each month — the response carries its snapshot date.

## What the route returns

Catalogue description, exactly as agents read it:

**Official Belgian company registry lookup (KBO/BCE, Banque-Carrefour des Entreprises / Kruispuntbank van Ondernemingen). Query: /v1/eu/entreprise/BE/0403199702 (10-digit enterprise number, with or without dots). Returns legal name, legal form, normalized status, incorporation date, registered office, NACEBEL activities with French labels, the establishment-unit list, VAT number and LEI, plus a link to the official register entry — Belgian company data from KBO/BCE open data, refreshed daily.**

Belgian enterprise number, **10 digits**.

> ⚠️ A wrongly formatted identifier returns `400` and is **not billed** — but it costs you a round trip. It is the leading cause of failed calls on the foreign routes.

## Price and billing

Price: **$0.01**. The authoritative amount is the one in the `402` quote returned by the route itself — not this text, which derives from the same grid but is still just a page.

An error response **cancels the payment**: a `400`, `404` or `503` is never billed. An upstream outage closes the route with a `503` rather than serving a degraded response.

## What this route does not do

No beneficial owners: the Belgian register is **behind authorisation** and closed to unauthorised access — which applies to our competitors too, as their own responses show (empty field).

## How you pay

Every route is paid **per call**, in USDC or EURC on the Base network, over the x402 protocol: no account to create, no API key, no subscription. The first call returns a `402` quote your client settles, then replays the call. A failed call is never billed.
